Last Friday I was invited along to the Urban Decay counter of Debenhams at intu Metrocentre for a sneak peak at their brand new palettes.
When I arrived I checked in with the UD girls, said hello to the other bloggers, then we made our way to the demonstration area to grab a drink and take a seat. Our Instagram names were set out on chairs (I’m lonewolf_burgess if you were wondering) with little goody bags of make up samples and an AMAZING donut from R Place!
I’m such a huge fan of Urban Decay – especially their eyeshadows. They’re always so velvety and pigmented and I was super excited to check out the three new On the Run palettes.
Inspired by the stunning Born to Run palette, the limited edition minis contain a mix of matte and metallic shades, including a transformer shade to add a little shimmer to your look. Shortcut contains blush and pink tones, Bailout has cocoa neutrals and purple shades and my favourite, Detour, contains sienna-hued neutrals with a deep teal shade. The palettes come in handy packaging with a mirror and are the perfect size to pop in your handbag and take with you on your travels!
As the UD girls talked us through the palettes and their favourite products from the brand, senior make up artist Berri-Mae worked her magic and did a fab little demonstration using the Shortcut palette. The colours are so stunning and if you’re a fan of the Naked Cherry palette, you’ll love this one too!
At just £24 a palette I could have quite happily bought all three, but being the sensible gal that I am I treat myself to just one… Detour! I can’t wait to use it.
The palettes are on sale now and if you end up purchasing one – let me know what you think!
