I know I’ve already said this but Autumn is my favourite season and it’s largely to do with Halloween, so you can imagine how excited I was to be invited along to Luna Events North East’s Haunted Halloween Market at the Roker Hotel on Friday 28th October 2022!

Luna Events North East create alternative events that support small businesses and give them a platform to thrive, and to give different subcultures a place to come together to feel welcome and included. That was certainly the case on Friday evening when plenty of people came out to support the event – many of whom really embraced the Halloween spirit with fantastic costumes!

There were so many wonderful traders at the event selling so many items varying from crystals, to spell candles, to jewellery, to cakes! I could have quite easily spent all of my money but held back treating myself just to a couple of goodies. First up were some fab UFO earrings from XKawaiiCutieX and a wonderful intention spell jar from ThisWickedCult!

Entertainment was brilliant from Ellie Acrobat who did an incredible Samara from The Ring and had the crowds truly creeped out. There was also a totally terrifying stilt walker who threatened to chop my head off a couple of times!

The event was a huge success and I’m so thankful that I was able to go along- thank you so much to Nicola of Luna Events for our tickets. The next event is the Alternative Christmas Market and will be at the Roker Hotel again on the 27th November 2022. I can’t wait to get along to this one!
