I’ve been out of the loop with bands in the North East lately, mainly since I stopped organising my own gigs back in December, but I’ve been making an effort to listen to new music again and I’m glad I have or I wouldn’t have found St. Buryan!
So I’ve been away a lot over the past few months, and have only just got round to visiting Zucchini Pasta Bar in Newcastle. Better late than never, right?
Autumn is my favourite season, and it’s finally here once again!
I love watching the leaves fall, taking strolls through parks, indulging in hot chocolates, having cosy nights in, being surrounded by warm reds, oranges and browns…it makes me so happy. There’s just something about the season that calms me and puts me in the best of moods.
I want to embrace the season as best as I can and really make the most of the coming months, so I’ve decided to create an autumn to-do/bucket list!
So just to recap, it’s a DECADE since Gossip Girl began and because it’s my favourite show, I decided to do a series of blog posts dedicated to it! For my first I put together my top 10 episodes, which was ridiculously hard, and you can read that here.
Anyone who has seen the show will know that it is full of SNACKS, so I decided that I’d put together my definitive ranking of the men of GG! Now there are quite a few male characters, so I set myself a rule: they MUST have been in at least 10 episodes of the show. That means we’ve at least had the chance to get some decent form of storyline out of them enough to care and make a decision whether we rate or hate them!
Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattans elite…
It’s been a decade since the show began, and I still get shivers when I hear that line. Gossip Girl took over my life as a teen, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. I mean, I say as a teen but I’ve never really gotten over it. I’ve re-watched the series in full every year since it finished, sometimes more than once. I go through phases of dressing like Blair Waldorf, I daydream about what it would be like to live on the Upper East Side, aaand… I fall in love with Chuck Bass every. Single. Time.
Summer has been absolutely wonderful this year and I love the sun, but autumn is my favourite season…and it’s fast approaching!
I’ve been curled up at night keeping warm re-watching Gossip Girl since I returned from my holiday last week, and it’s inspired me to dress better. To channel my inner Blair and Serena, learn to accessorise, and to be braver with my styling. Plus, what better way to see in the new season than to change up your wardrobe, right?
I don’t know about you, but Barbie pretty much defined my childhood. I would spend hours and hours locked away in my room, dressing the dolls, making up stories, watching Barbie videos (remember Barbie and the Rockers?) and I absolutely lived for it! It was nearly every girls dream to be just like her.
It was just by chance, when I was shopping in Selfridges in Birmingham the other day, that I stumbled across the Missguided section…and their Barbie collection. As soon as I saw it, I was in absolute awe.
