About

Hey there! I’m Alex, from the North East of England. I’m a music lover, film fanatic, TV binger, gin-drinker and daydreamer, so I decided to start this blog to write about all these things…and then some.

I graduated from the University of Sunderland with a 2:1 in Media Production in 2015.  While I was there I got involved with the student radio station, Spark Sunderland. I began as producer of the Local Music Show, progressed to presenter of the show, became the first female Drive Time presenter at the station, and then my final role before I left was Local Music Coordinator. While I was there, I was awarded Silver for Best Female at the national Student Radio Awards in 2013, and nominated once again the year after. I value those 3 years at Spark so much, as all that experience landed me a job at Capital North-East! I work there now as a cover presenter, as part of their street team, and I also host the Family Zone at the Stadium of Light!

Since 2012 I’ve also had my own company Lone Wolf Promotions where I organise gigs around the North-East showcasing local talent, and also manage bands. It’s been a big part of my life over the past few years, so you’ll most likely see bits about it on the blog!

I’ve been wanting to start a blog for quite some time, so I’m really excited to get the ball rolling. If you have any questions or just fancy a chat, make sure you follow me on social media, or drop me a line via email!
