Hey there! I’m Alex, from the North East of England. I’m a music lover, film fanatic, TV binger, gin-drinker and daydreamer, so I decided to start this blog to write about all these things…and then some.
I graduated from the University of Sunderland with a 2:1 in Media Production in 2015. While I was there I got involved with the student radio station, Spark Sunderland. I began as producer of the Local Music Show, progressed to presenter of the show, became the first female Drive Time presenter at the station, and then my final role before I left was Local Music Coordinator. While I was there, I was awarded Silver for Best Female at the national Student Radio Awards in 2013, and nominated once again the year after. I value those 3 years at Spark so much, as all that experience landed me a job at Capital North-East! I work there now as a cover presenter, as part of their street team, and have also hosted their Family Zone at the Stadium of Light in the past.
Since 2012 I’ve also had my own company Lone Wolf Promotions where I organise gigs around the North-East showcasing local talent, and also manage bands. It’s been a big part of my life over the past few years, so you’ll most likely see bits about it on the blog!
I’ve been wanting to start a blog for quite some time, so I’m really excited to get the ball rolling. If you have any questions or just fancy a chat, make sure you follow me on social media, or drop me a line via email!
