Last night I took a trip to Better Best Bargains via Stockton Globe for the opening night of Here & Now – The Steps Musical!

December is here, the countdown to Christmas is on and we all know what that means… it’s panto season!
Myself and the family were invited along to Forum Theatre Billingham again this year for their panto The Further Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan: The Return of Captain Hook. We loved Cinderella last year so couldn’t wait for this one.

Friday 3rd October saw Little Robot bring their comedy event back to SpaceBar Sunderland for their 2nd comedy night, following on from a successful show there back in May!

Earlier this month I popped along to a preview evening of The Green Room – the brand new bar at Newcastle Theatre Royal!
If you know the Theatre Royal, you’ll know it’s one of the most iconic venues in the North East, and now it’s opened its doors in a whole new way.

If you’re in the mood for some laughs this Autumn, then Little Robot have got you covered!
Following on from their show earlier this month at South Causey, get ready for another three incredible nights of stand-up as some of the UK’s sharpest comedians take to the stage across the North East!
If you’re after date night ideas, or just a big night of belly laughs with your mates – check out the following…
Continue readingThis Friday 30th May, Sunderland’s arcade and cocktail bar SpaceBar Arcade will be hosting their first-ever stand-up night and we can’t wait to be heading along!
SpaceBar Arcade have teamed up with North East production company Little Robot to bring a brand new comedy night to Sunderland featuring a mix of top national talent alongside fresh faces and some local faves too. On the line up for the evening you will find the following…
Michael Legge
A legend of the comedy circuit, Michael is a seasoned headliner and multi award-winning comedian!
Alex Mitchell
You may remember Alex from the 2024 series of Britain’s Got Talent where he reached the final after winning his semi by public vote! Alex is a queer, autistic, disabled comic who uses self-deprecating humour and observational material to create a hilarious but heart-warming atmosphere.
Also on the line up are So You Think You’re Funny? finalist Laurie Brewster and rising star Kelly Younghorn.
The night will be hosted by the hilarious Si Beckwith, tour support for Carl Hutchinson, Janine Harouni and Nabil Abdulrashid.
Cocktails, gaming and comedy – it’s going to be a perfect Friday night in Sunderland!
Doors are 7pm, show starts at 8pm.
Tickets are priced from £12 and available to buy now from HERE.

Last night I took a trip to Northampton, London and Milan all via the wonderful Stockton Globe for the opening night of Kinky Boots The Musical!

Let me start by telling you that before I entered the theatre yesterday, I knew nothing about Kinky Boots. I’d often seen the red boots image dotted about theatres or social media and thought ‘oooh that looks fun’ but didn’t actually know the story.
That made it all the more exciting as I had no idea what was about to unfold before my eyes…
Continue readingI don’t know about you but I love a trip out for a good Sunday roast.
Last week we were invited down to Bella’s, located in the wonderful Customs House, to check out their Sunday lunch menu. A perfect treat for January!

Well HELLO there readers and a Happy New Year to you all!
Christmas has been lovely and I’ve spent a lot of the festive period reflecting on 2024…to come up with my Burgess’ Buff Blokes list!
If you’re new to this then, where the heck have you been??? Anyway this is how it works –
1. I put together a list of my top 25 gorge blokes of the year.
2. In order to be featured they have to have actually done something during said year.
3. Only 3 men from my previous years list can make it into this one!
So, now that we all know the rules – grab a drink, put your feet up and let’s dive in…
Ok so we all know how it goes…
Divorced. Beheaded. Died.
Divorced. Beheaded. Survived.
Except last night (and until the 2nd of January!) it’s divorced, beheaded, LIVE at Stockton Globe as SIX makes its royal return to Teesside following a sold out run last year.
If you want female empowerment, dazzling costumes and banging tunes then you’ve definitely come to the right musical!
