It was full of fun and full of bank holidays. I could definitely get used to having 3 of them a month…
On May 7th, we were invited along to Tyne Bank Brewery for their bank holiday Sunday sesh with The Cuban Brothers and let me tell you, it’s not a night I’ll be forgetting anytime soon.
Absolutely shocking that I’m merging March and April into one debrief post here but I’ve been kindaaa busy… WE GOT MARRIED! So there’s been a lot of planning/running around/sorting etc happening the past few weeks especially. Anyway, there’ll be more about the wedding another time – but here’s what I’ve been up to.

Can’t quite believe we’re already a month (and a bit!) into 2023 – where is the time going? January has been a busy month for us, and if I’m being honest it’s also been a little tough. January blues have most certainly been a thing and my mental health has taken a bit of a blow – I think February calls for a lot of self care and chill time. I know we’re nearly 2 weeks into 2023 but HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s been a busy start hence the reason my final debrief of last year is late but also – I posted every single one of them late last year so why change that habit now?! I’ve really enjoyed writing my monthly debriefs so I’m sure you’ll be happy to know that I plan on keeping them going this year. With that in mind, let’s reflect on the last month of 2022…it was pretty Christmas heavy!

Continue readingOn Saturday night, Adam and I were invited along to Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens for the opening night of Illuminating Ushaw: Land of Enchantment.
The stunning Christmas light trail returns for a third year and sees the gardens of Ushaw Historic House transformed into a magical winter wonderland with art installations and illumination features and decorations throughout the grounds, designed by regional artists and by children from local schools.
As of Saturday 26th November, Christmas has officially landed at Beamish Museum!
Adam and I absolutely love a trip to Beamish, especially at this time of year, so we were very happy to be invited along to travel back in time to experience the magic of Christmases past on Sunday afternoon. We decided to make it a full family trip with my Mam and Dad (and Florence) coming too with the passes that they already had.
