It’s been yet another busy month (surprise, surprise!) so let’s catch up over my February debrief…
I hate to be THAT person but seriously, where did January go?! I can’t quite believe we’re one whole month into 2022 already.
I said I wanted to get back into my blogging this year and so at the end of each month I’m going to do a little debrief of what’s been happening in my life – what I’ve been watching/where I’ve been going. That kind of thing!
January has actually been quite a busy month with highs, and lows. I suffer with anxiety and that has been quite bad the past few weeks but I’m getting there and trying new things to help with that…which kind of leads me on to what I’ve been up to!
First up…
I think you’ll be seeing plenty of food posts on the blog this year, so let’s start it off with a visit to one of Newcastle’s newest spots – The Hustle!
Taking up residence in the old Tiger Tiger/Eden site at the heart of the city centre, the building has certainly had quite the glow up since I was last there. It has been transformed into a stunning bar, grill and disco lounge with an extensive drinks menu and an excellent New York style tapas menu.
Before we do anything, I need to apologise.
I’m sure you don’t actually care but I’m sorry that I haven’t been on here since the LAST Burgess’ Buff Blokes post. That’s ridiculous. New Year’s Resolution – get back into my blogging.
Like everyone I’ve been a bit caught up with life – we bought a house, got engaged, work has been crazy…but I’m settling into the routine now and so I’m ready to come back and what better way to do it than my fitty list for 2021!
If you’re new to this then let me explain:
1. I put together a list of my top 25 sexy celebs of the year.
2. In order to be featured they have to have done something during the year.
3. Only 3 men from my previous years list can make it into this one!
SO! Now that we’re all up to date, let’s get going with my #BurgessBuffBlokes2021
WARNING: have some water at the ready because y’all might get THIRSTY!
Continue reading2020 has been, how shall I say this? A YEAR.
With that in mind, after my Buff Blokes tournaments on Twitter earlier in the year, I felt it was my duty to the people to carry on the tradition of the Burgess’ Buff Blokes blog post to round the year off!
If you’re unfamiliar with this (where have you been?!), then let me explain the rules:
1. I put together a list of my top 25 sexy celebs of the year.
2. In order to be featured they have to have done something during the year.
3. Only 3 men from my previous years list can make it into this one!
Now that we’re all on the same page, let’s get going with my #BurgessBuffBlokes2020
WARNING: Please make sure you’re seated and have a drink handy.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Autumn is my favourite season! I’m so happy it’s that time of year once again- the leaves are changing colour, the nights are getting darker and it’s time to wrap up in aaaaall of the knitwear!
To celebrate this wonderful season, I’ve come up with a little Autumn to-do list for the next couple of months.
ALWAYS SOCIAL, NEVER SALTY!
If there’s one thing I love when I visit a European city, it’s a food and drinks market. It always feels like the perfect place to socialise, get a taste of the city (literally) and have fun!
Well that’s exactly what Salt Market Social felt like for me.
After following each other on Instagram for a little while, the lovely Deborah from WiseWax got in touch and asked if I would like to review some of her amazing bath and body products. Being the kind of gal that I am and never one to turn down the excuse for a nice, relaxing bath I obviously said yes!
Last week Adam and I were invited down to Newcastle’s brand new beer garden, Jesmond Beach Box, to check out the atmosphere and try out some food!
Situated behind The Holy Hobo, near As You Like It, Jesmond Beach Box boasts a huge outdoor hang out area with various street food vendors, bars and market stalls and it’s the perfect spot for summer get togethers.
As someone who is used to eating out a lot, it’s safe to say I’m REALLY missing it during lockdown. Luckily some places that I love near me are still open for business (House of Zen I’m looking at you), as are places that I’ve yet to try like Kogarashi.
