December: The Debrief

I know we’re nearly 2 weeks into 2023 but HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s been a busy start hence the reason my final debrief of last year is late but also – I posted every single one of them late last year so why change that habit now?! I’ve really enjoyed writing my monthly debriefs so I’m sure you’ll be happy to know that I plan on keeping them going this year. With that in mind, let’s reflect on the last month of 2022…it was pretty Christmas heavy!

THE PANTOMIME ADVENTURES OF PETER PAN REVIEW

Growing up, every December my family and I would go to a pantomime. It became a tradition, one that is still going to this day even now that I’ve grown up. To be honest, there’s nothing quite like a panto to get you in the Christmas spirit so Adam and I were over the moon to be invited along to Darlington Hippodrome for their press night of this years show, The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan!

ILLUMINATING USHAW: LAND OF ENCHANTMENT (AD)

On Saturday night, Adam and I were invited along to Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens for the opening night of Illuminating Ushaw: Land of Enchantment.

The stunning Christmas light trail returns for a third year and sees the gardens of Ushaw Historic House transformed into a magical winter wonderland with art installations and illumination features and decorations throughout the grounds, designed by regional artists and by children from local schools.
