A Guide To The Gathering Sounds 2022! (AD)

Cast your minds back to April and you’ll remember how excited I was for the return of Stockton Calling, a brilliant daylong music festival that takes place across numerous venues in Stockton centre every year. One of the teams behind the festival, KU Promotions, decided to create another all-day event called The Gathering Sounds which takes place in just a few days on Saturday 24th September, and I’m here to tell you all about it!

The Gathering Sounds is returning for its fourth instalment having started in 2018, and is an all-day music event which takes place at the end of the main festival season. It’s a little different to Stockton Calling as this festival focuses more on supporting emerging talent and grass roots acts at the start of their journey, as well as also having acts on the line up that the industry has already snapped up for tours and festivals the following year!

Venue’s taking place are ARC, KU, The Georgian Theatre, Social Room and The Storytellers, and This Feeling and Hull’s Under The Influence will return as guest promoters.

This years clashfinder!

Stockton is lucky enough to have a live music scene that is thriving and it’s a wonderful place to go for gigs because people really care about the music and supporting talent which at the end of the day, is what it’s all about. If you’re a fan of new music, The Gathering Sounds is going to be the perfect place for you to come down to and do some early talent spotting and find your new fave artist.

As you can see there are so many incredible acts on this years bill – I can’t WAIT to catch Dayna Leadbitter, Tom A Smith and Lottery Winners especially!

Doors open at 1pm and tickets will need to be exchanged for wristbands at ARC before entering venues. The Gathering Sounds is a 14+ (accompanied by an adult) event and tickets are priced at £20 plus booking fee. There’s still time for you to get your tickets and you can purchase them in advance HERE.

I can’t wait to keep festival season going for just that little longer… see you there!

* Full disclosure: I have been gifted tickets to the festival in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are my own.
