As you may know from my previous post, Adam and I were invited down to Stockton for the day-long music festival The Gathering Sounds on Saturday 24th September. The line-up this year was absolutely STACKED so we made sure to get ourselves down early to make the absolute most of the day. I reckon we did well considering we got to see 11 acts during our time there and covered all 5 venues!
With that in mind, let me tell you all about it.
Continue readingCast your minds back to April and you’ll remember how excited I was for the return of Stockton Calling, a brilliant daylong music festival that takes place across numerous venues in Stockton centre every year. One of the teams behind the festival, KU Promotions, decided to create another all-day event called The Gathering Sounds which takes place in just a few days on Saturday 24th September, and I’m here to tell you all about it!
Sunderland Restaurant Week, organised by Sunderland BID, is returning 17th-25th September and I was lucky enough to have a little preview and sample some scran from 3 of the eateries taking part!
If you’re unaware of the event, Sunderland Restaurant Week allows a whole host of restaurants and cafes across the city to show off their menus whilst giving visitors a chance to dine for £5, £10 or £15pp. We have been lucky to see so many new restaurants open this past year, so if you haven’t had a chance to visit some of them yet – this might be your perfect opportunity!
On the preview night, we visited 3 venues for starter, main and dessert. Those venues were My Delhi, The Engine Room and Grinder Central. Now let me tell you aaaaall about it…

I turned 29 at the beginning of this month and quite literally dived into the final year of my twenties at my birthday party by tripping over in killer platform boots and concussing myself on the patio door. It’s good to see that even though I’m getting older, I’m still an absolute divvy.
Anyway, since then I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the fact that I’m even closer to turning the big three-zero. It feels like such a milestone – and feels like I’m about to become a REAL adult! I’ve already got so much to look forward to in the final year of my twenties (you know, like getting married!!!), but I’ve decided to do a little bucket list as well to keep me busy.

I know I’m a little late with May’s debrief but let me tell you it has been a hectic few weeks! I can’t quite believe that we’re basically halfway through the year now, it’s actually terrifying how fast time is flying!
Anyway, let’s have a catch up and I’ll tell you all about the month of May…
If you’ve followed my blog or Instagram for a while, you’ll probably know that I knew absolutely NOTHING about wrestling up until a few years ago when I met Adam. He was into wrestling so obviously, trying to be a good girlfriend, I showed an interest. Little did I know it would end up being something I love!
I’ve been to my fair share of shows over the past few years now, both WWE and independent promotions, so when Main Event Wrestling (MEW) in Newcastle invited me along to their latest show I jumped at the chance.
