January always seems one of the toughest months of the year, but luckily it’s nearly over! If you’re still feeling a bit blue, I’ve put together a list of a few things that will hopefully help you shoo shoo those bad vibes away…
Whether it’s putting on a face mask and having a bubble bath at home or booking a spa trip, a pamper session will get you nice and relaxed and hopefully rid you of any unnecessary stress. My Mam and I have a spa day at Seaham Hall booked for next week and I can’t wait!
Go for a walk.
Taking yourself on a walk and letting that cold air hit your face is a perfect way to clear the mind.
Getting back into the fitness regime after Christmas can be hard, I know it has been for me, but once you get back on track it can improve your physical and mental strength, and give you more energy!
I absolutely LOVE cooking and baking, so whenever I’m feeling down I take myself into the kitchen. Concentrating on something like that for a couple of hours really helps. I made slow cooker orange chicken the other night and it was delicious!
Have a clear out.
I’m terrible at holding onto things, especially old clothes that I haven’t worn for years. If you’re like me, why not have yourself a good clear out? Getting rid means making space for new things which is exciting, especially if you need a little retail therapy!
Go see La La Land…
Ok, so this is mainly for me to mention how much I love it. I’ve been super excited about this film for quite some time now, and it’s finally out! If you want a feel good film to tap your toes too, to swoon over Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, and to let out some tears, then this is for you. Here’s to the fools who dream, ey?
Hopefully this may help but if things get a little too much, talk to someone. Just remember, you’re not alone.
