Happy Autumn everyone!
My favourite season is finally here and I’m ready to embrace the darker nights, the big jumpers and the pumpkin spice!
Like a lot of people, I feel a real spiritual connection to Autumn. It feels like the perfect time to reflect on the year so far, to let go of any negative feelings and to find balance in all aspects of life. I always like to make a bucket list for the season and to keep myself busy, so here’s my list for 2023.

TRY A NEW RECIPE
I’ve already been saving so many new recipes ready for Autumn on my Instagram lately, including a pumpkin pasta which I’m so excited to cook! I’m really looking forward to spending nights cooking some delicious, hearty meals for Adam and I to curl up with.
GO PUMPKIN PICKING
This makes it onto my list every year – I LOVE going pumpkin picking, it’s such a fun experience and I get so excited to then take them home to decorate and cook with!

PRACTICE GRATITUDE AND SET INTENTIONS
I’ve recently began practicing gratitude daily and journalling, and it’s really been helping with my mental health. This season I’d like to do it a bit more, I’d like to use positive affirmations and to set intentions. Basically, I’m taking time this Autumn to think positively and focus on believing in myself and I’m here for it. SELF CARE SZN!
PAINT SOME SPOOKY NAIL ART
Hoping I get a chance to paint some spooky nail art in October…I’ve been saving so many ideas on Insta and Pinterest! I loved doing these Scream ones last year.

HEAD TO THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT
Heading to the Festival of Light in Sunderland has become tradition and I can’t wait to get along to Mowbray Park for this year’s event. It runs from the 12th October to the 12th November and you can read all about it here.
DECLUTTER OUR HOME
I know a lot of people do this when they do a Spring clean, but for me it feels the right time to have a good clear out – especially because we’re FINALLY getting wardrobes in our bedroom so I really need to sort out clothes and get rid of the ones I’ve been hanging on to!!
DRESS UP FOR HALLOWEEN
Finally, I cannot WAIT to dress up for Halloween again this year…I’ve actually already got most of my costume in because I’m so excited! We have a big family party every year and I think this year is going to be one of the biggest yet. I can’t wait! Please enjoy a photo from last year’s party dressing up as Billy Butcher from The Boys.

So there we have my Autumn bucket list for 2023. Now the question is…what’s on yours?
