The countdown to Stockton Calling is officially ON!
Four weeks today on the 16th of April, the daylong music festival returns after a 2 year hiatus (thanks to bloody Covid!) and the organisers have gone all out to bring us an absolute stellar line up for their comeback!
I have so many amazing memories from years gone by at the festival, but if you’ve not heard of Stockton Calling then let me enlighten you…
Stockton Calling is a daylong music festival which takes place across a number of venues (11 to be exact) in Stockton town centre. It’s a wonderful festival which is all about showcasing some of the best emerging talent from both the local and regional scene, as well as those from further afield. You’ll find some of the most exciting new musicians on the line up alongside some established favourites and legends.
One of my favourite things about Stockton Calling is heading into a venue and catching someone I’ve not heard of before. That’s the whole ethos of the festival- discovering new bands and artists!
There really is something for everyone on this years line up and I can’t wait to catch some old favourites and new acts that I’ve not had a chance to see live yet thanks to the pandemic.
As I mentioned before, there are 11 venues taking part in this years festival with over 80 bands playing across the day! Your venues are as follows;
The Georgian Theatre
The Green Room
NE Volume Music Bar
Vault Hidden Bar
If you want to find any information on each of the venues, including accessibility information, you can read about it on Stockton Calling’s website following THIS link.
If you’re heading to the festival and want to start getting into the spirit, or if you just want to find some new music to listen to, the team behind the festival made an excellent Stockton Calling playlist on Spotify that you can listen to here.
Tickets for the festival are £31 and can be purchased online here!
I absolutely cannot wait for the festival now. If you’re heading along – come say hello!
* Full disclosure: I have been gifted tickets to the festival in exchange for this blog post. All opinions are my own.
