Has someone got 2022 on fast forward because I swear it’s going faster than any other year! I can’t believe we’re just over a week into October. Bloody crazy! Let’s have a chat about what I got up to in September…
TRIBUTE FOR TAYLOR
We started the month of September with possibly one of the best and most emotional gigs I’ve ever been to…the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Wembley. If you were there or you watched it at home, you’ll know just how incredible it was. There were so many amazing musicians making appearances, but to have Taylor’s son Shane come and play drums with Foo Fighters on ‘My Hero’ at the end was just something else.

PAINT ME LIKE ONE OF YOUR FRENCH GIRLS
I was so excited to head along to Bobiks in Jesmond to tick off one of the things off my Thirty Before Thirty list in September – attend a life drawing session! It might sound strange to say but it was actually a really calming experience as I was so focussed on the drawing and doing my best I wasn’t thinking about anything else. I was really happy with my final piece!

ROCK OF AGES
I headed along to the wonderful Sunderland Empire to see Rock of Ages and oh my goodness, I think it’s possibly one of my favourite shows that I have seen! I’ve never seen the film so didn’t know what the story was or what to properly expect but bloody hell, it was just class. The music was brilliant and I found myself singing and dancing along much more than I should have…oops! Will definitely be going to see it again when it comes back to the North East on tour!

WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING
Here’s what I was watching in September.
1- ANDOR
We’ve only watched the first 3 episodes but it didn’t properly catch my attention so I think I need to maybe watch it again? I love Star Wars so definitely want to stick with it!
2- SONS OF ANARCHY
We FINALLY finished SOA and Adam loved it and I fell in love with Chibs aaaaall over again and it’s actually disgusting.
3- DON’T WORRY DARLING
Right. I don’t know where to start with this one…
Florence Pugh was AMAZING!!!!! That’s a given. It’s definitely not up there as one of my favourites but I really loved the way it was shot (beautiful to look at) and thought the story was good, just wasn’t a huge fan of the end. Would definitely recommend watching it though because I want to speak to EVERYONE about it!!

October has already been busy so far…I’ll let you know what I get up to in a few weeks!
