Absolutely shocking that I’m merging March and April into one debrief post here but I’ve been kindaaa busy… WE GOT MARRIED! So there’s been a lot of planning/running around/sorting etc happening the past few weeks especially. Anyway, there’ll be more about the wedding another time – but here’s what I’ve been up to.
THEATRE, DARLING
I had a couple of trips to Sunderland Empire Theatre in March. 1- The Ocean At The End Of The Lane and 2- Birmingham Royal Ballet: Swan Lake.
The first was a present for Adam’s birthday. He’s a huge Neil Gaiman fan and had expressed an interest in heading along so I got the hint! I booked tickets not knowing what the story was at all and had one of the best theatre experiences I’ve ever had. It was outstanding. The second was Swan Lake performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet which was breathtaking!

BONGOS BINGO!
I actually fit in two Bongos Bingos in March and April. One for my hen do down Birmingham, and one for our friend Luke’s birthday in Newcastle – both of which were an absolute HOOT! If you’ve never been to one before, I’d recommend trying to grab tickets the next time they’re in town near you because it’s the perfect night out for any occasion.

CONTRACT COMIC CON
We headed along to Contract Comic Con at Rainton Arena on Easter Monday which was a great way to spend a few hours. I got myself a couple of WWE cards of some of my fave wrestlers – Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis – and my first set of dice for D&D which are so pretty! There was a wrestling show on too which was great fun and Scorpio and Cobra from Gladiators did a Q&A too! There were also plenty of fab stalls selling great bits and bobs – it was a lush visit.

HEN DO’S FOR DAAAAYS
Sooo I was a little bit extra (or greedy!) and decided to have THREE hen parties! First took place in Birmingham thanks to all of my lovely Coventry fam – Bongos Bingos followed by food, cocktails and dancing. It was lush! Second was with aaaall my friends and family in Newcastle – we went to my fave pub, Town Wall, for food and drinks and then headed to Boulevard for their amazing drag show! Finally I headed away for a weekend in Cumbria with my nearest and dearest – murder mystery, fancy dress silent disco, food, drinks and a hot tub…it was bloody lush.
I thoroughly enjoyed spending so much time with all my friends celebrating such a beautiful occasion!

WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING
Here’s what I was watching in March/April!
1- THE MANDALORIAN
Eeee my giddy Aunt, this third series of The Manadalorian has been absolutely outstanding. Brilliant from start to finish and as always, Grogu has my heart. ‘NO. NO. YES. YES. NO’…if you know, you know!
2- SUPER MARIO BROS
It’s a meee, Mariooo! The Super Mario Bros Movie was SO much fun! Cast were great and there were some brilliant references throughout. Felt like a big kid and loved every second!
3- JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4
WOW. John Wick: Chapter 4 was just fantastic. The films are some of my favourites anyway and this one didn’t disappoint at all. Great casting as always and the ending was perfect – no spoilers, don’t worry.
4- NOT OKAY
Omg so I had watched the trailer for this aaages ago but then didn’t know where to watch it, then it popped up on Disney Plus so we put it on. It’s so crazy because I can absolutely imagine someone somewhere doing something like this! Never disliked a main character so much… she’s the worst. It’s deffo worth a watch!
5- DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: HONOUR AMONG THIEVES
Adam and I loved the Dungeons & Dragons film! I especially loved it after playing the game recently as I got some of the references and the gelatinous cube made me laugh thinking of the one shot we played. Chris Pine was brilliant too!
6- THE PRINCESS BRIDE
Adam finally got me to watch The Princess Bride after all these years and I loved it! For some reason I was always too scared to watch it as I thought it was going to be creepy (not sure why?) but it wasn’t, it was bloody wonderful.
** Also a special shout out to Wrestlemania because Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs Usos was one of the best things I’ve ever watched.

May is going to be a BUSY month…but I can’t wait to share it with you!
