Well goodness me it has been a hot minute since we last caught up hasn’t it?! Seriously, since the wedding it has just been non-stop…I can’t actually wait for Autumn to hibernate! Jokes aside we’ve had such a fun summer – here’s what we’ve been up to!

EUROPEAN EXCURSIONS

Adam and I had such a fun week away in July. Busy, but fun! The trip went as follows – a few days in Berlin with my Mam and Dad to see Depeche Mode, quick few hours back home to repack and nap, flight to Copenhagen, this time with Adam’s Auntie Anne to see Bruce Springsteen, THEN the train to Hamburg to see the Boss again! All 3 shows were amazing and I’m so glad I got to see Bruce. I’ll share a post at some point about what else we got up to while we were away too.

KENDAL CALLING

I’ve worked Kendal Calling many times over the years and always said that I’d love to go as a punter one day. This year I finally got to do that with Adam and some of our friends and it was such a bloody good weekend. I even got to catch up with my old work team too. Highlights included Kasabian, Lottery Winners, Mystery Jets and most importantly, TV Bangers (an hour long DJ set of TV theme tunes)!

AEW ALL IN

August bank holiday called for a trip to London for one of the biggest wrestling events of the year at Wembley Stadium, AEW All In! The show was mint from start to finish and I was buzzing to see some of my fave wrestlers live (Dax Harwood and Adam Cole!!!!) The last time I saw MJF was at The Point in Sunderland at a Defiant show a few years ago – I was looking at his merch and he leaned over and told me to stop looking because I couldn’t afford it! Loved him from that moment so it was brilliant seeing him in the main event!

LONE WOLF NAILS

Finally the biggest thing from the past 2 months… I’ve qualified as a nail technician! It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a while now and I finally invested in myself and did my training with the amazing BYJEN Academy in Sunderland. I’m so proud of myself for doing this and can’t wait to see what the future holds. You can find any info out here!

WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING

Here’s what I was watching in July and August –

1- THE BEAR

If you haven’t watched The Bear – WHERE have you been?! I loved series 1 so was so excited to get watching series 2. I think I loved this one even more, you get to know the characters so much more and honestly, the cast are just brilliant.

2- BARBENHEIMER

Felt necessary to put Barbie and Oppenheimer together…
We did the double screening opening weekend with a Nandos in between – a brilliant day.
I have no real words to describe Oppenheimer, I left the cinema speechless. Christopher Nolan has honestly outdone himself and the cast were outstanding. Barbie was also brilliant! I laughed, I cried and I realised I’m definitely Weird Barbie…

3- TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM

Heroes in a half shell, TURTLE POWER! I used to love TMNT as a kid so when I saw that there was a new film, I was proper excited. Adam and I headed along to the cinema for date night and had so much fun! The animation for this one is really cool, like comic book style, and I loved it. 10/10 would recommend.
