September: The Debrief

September has been a relatively quiet month which is quite nice considering how busy the rest of the year has been! A lot of chill time with family and friends, visits to various foodie spots and nights in curled up in front of the telly. It’s been pretty perfect. Let me tell you all about it!

THE FRONT PARLOUR COFFEE HOUSE & KITCHEN

September called for a PR visit to The Front Parlour as part of the Safari Supper Sunderland Restaurant Week preview and I LOVED IT, so much so that I headed along during restaurant week with my Mam and Dad for one of their Mediterranean eats evenings. Charcuterie and cheese board, mezze board, pan con tomate and salted Spanish almonds were all ordered and all delicious. There was also space for coffee and dessert of course! Kate and Emilia are so welcoming and I’m already excited for my next visit. There’ll be a full post coming soon as I just love this place so much!

SECRET CINEMA TRIPS

Adam and I have Cineworld Unlimited cards – we love going to the cinema and it’s one of our favourite date nights to have. One of the best things about the Cineworld Unlimited cards are the early screenings and secret screenings! We headed along for the secret screening last week and were over the moon to get to see The Creator a few days early. If you loved Rogue One, you’ll definitely love this. John David Washington is superb.

AFTERNOON TEA FOR DAYS

I went for afternoon tea THREE Sundays in a row in September which is maybe slightly excessive but let me tell you, I felt like I was living my best life! The first was a visit to Victors on the Quayside – my bestie Jocelyn bought me a voucher for my 30th and we finally cashed it in. It’s possibly the boujeest afternoon tea about! Next up, Adam and I headed to Revolution in Durham to cash in another afternoon tea birthday gift. It was a nice change to the usual offerings you’d expect with things like mini sliders, jalapeño poppers, cheesy bacon fries and banana caramel waffle. Finally Jocelyn and I headed to SIX at the Baltic to celebrate her engagement! It was absolutely fab with such lovely views, delicious food and great service.

WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING

Here’s what I was watching in September –

1- JUSTIFIED

Omg so I hadn’t even heard of Justified but we were scrolling through Disney Plus looking for a new show to start and Adam said he’d always fancied it so I agreed because, well, Timothy Olyphant. Anyway, I am SO glad we put it on because I am now obsessed!!

2- DUMB MONEY

Trip to Cineworld for the unlimited screening of Dumb Money didn’t disappoint – it’s so crazy knowing this is based on a true story! The cast were great and I’d deffo recommend giving it a watch.

3- STRICTLY COME DANCING AND GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF

A doubler in at 3 here because Strictly and Bake Off back on the telly means Autumn is here and I’m a happy, happy gal!!!

There’s my September debrief for you. I’ve got a BUSY October and can’t wait to share all the deets with you in a month!
