So I’ve been away a lot over the past few months, and have only just got round to visiting Zucchini Pasta Bar in Newcastle. Better late than never, right?
I’ve heard such good things about the restaurant, which takes up residence at 55 Degrees North/Swan House roundabout, and was so excited to finally eat there.
As my friend and I sat down I looked around. The place has such a relaxed atmosphere and is a lovely clean open space, which made it the perfect place for a nice lunch and a catch up.
I was completely overwhelmed when I first looked at the menu and it took me so long to decide what I wanted to order! I ended up going for the Tagliatelle Pomodoro Classic (£5), and it was absolutely divine. Zucchini hand roll and hand cut their pasta every day so it’s as fresh as can be, and you can tell. It really is something to rave about, and is most definitely the star of the show.
My friend went for the Pappardelle ‘6 Hour’ Beef Shin and Rosemary Ragu (£6.50), which also looked superb and I think is definitely what I’ll be getting on my next visit.
I couldn’t believe the incredible value for money for such a hearty plate of food, with the main dishes only costing around a fiver, which makes it a budget friendly lunch spot!
If you haven’t been yet, I’d most definitely recommend heading over…I can’t wait to go back!
