Autumn is my favourite season, and it’s finally here once again!
I love watching the leaves fall, taking strolls through parks, indulging in hot chocolates, having cosy nights in, being surrounded by warm reds, oranges and browns…it makes me so happy. There’s just something about the season that calms me and puts me in the best of moods.
I want to embrace the season as best as I can and really make the most of the coming months, so I’ve decided to create an autumn to-do/bucket list!
Have a horror film night.
I’m not actually THAT good with scary films, but I always feel like I need to snuggle up in the dark and watch them this time of year. If you’ve got any suggestions, please let me know!
Try a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Ok, so this was actually on my list of things to do last year but I panicked and just kept ordering a Caramel Macchiato! I will DEFINITELY try one this year though.
Watch a fireworks display.
Wrapping up and heading to watch a display with the family is a must during autumn! My usual go-to display is at Houghton Feast. You can find out more about that here!
Make some cinder toffee.
Cinder toffee is the perfect autumn treat! I often get it when I’m at Houghton Feast, actually. It’s so delicious, and will make the perfect snack for my horror night.
Try seasonal nail art.
I spend hours painting my nails and I find it quite therapeutic. I love getting creative, so as it’s coming up to Halloween I think I’ll try some spooky nail art!
Bake a pie.
I really love the flavours that go with autumn, and I’m thinking a nice apple pie could be a perfect nighttime pudding…
Wrap myself in big, cosy jumpers.
It’s getting colder now and I can’t wait to get the knitwear out. There’s nothing better than throwing on a big jumper and being snug as a bug in a rug!
Throw an autumnal tea party!
I threw my first afternoon tea last year and had so much fun! I’d love to throw one again, get all my nearest and dearest round and bake some autumnal goodies for them to eat!
Buy some seasonal goodies from Lush.
Lush have their Halloween products in store now and I’ve been eyeing up the Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar! I need to get my hands on one of them, and have a lovely, relaxing bath.
Host a games night.
Having my friends round for a nice night in is something I love to do anyway, but adding games to that can only make it even better…even though I’m sure there’ll be some arguments. We’re a competitive bunch!
So there we have it, my autumn to-do list. I can’t wait to get stuck in!
What’s on your list this year? x
