One week into August and here I am bringing you July’s debrief…there’s a pattern isn’t there? Oops!
It’s been another busy month which included a wonderful holiday to Madrid with Adam which I can’t wait to tell you about, so let’s crack on and see what I’ve been up to.
MAD FOR IT
Adam and I FINALLY made it to Madrid for Mad Cool last month after having tickets booked since the back end of 2019! Bloody Covid! Anyway, we got there eventually and honestly I think it’s the best festival I’ve been to. The size was perfect, the line up was incredible, there was loads to do, sun was shining…it was a dream! I’d go back in a heartbeat. We got to do couple little day trips in Madrid as well including a zoo which was brill AND a theme park where I ticked off one of my Thirty Before Thirty things to do- face my fear of rollercoasters!

STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER
I’ve followed Brocksbushes Farm for a little while and finally decided to take a trip up there for a wholesome Sunday morning picking some strawberries. It’s a couple quid in and I’d definitely recommend booking in advance. We had a lovely time and ended up paying for a full basket of strawberries that we had collected. They were delicious! We just had to have a scone in the farm shop before we left too…it would have been rude not to!

YOU GOT ME HYPNOTISED
Eeee now hey. We headed along to Bobiks in Jesmond after being invited along to Robert Temple’s hypnosis show and guess who ended up on stage? Yep, ME! Looking back at the photos and videos Adam took of me makes me giggle so much and it was such a fun night. If you’re up at Edinburgh Fringe be sure to check out his show, or have a look at his dates for his Autumn tour!

WHAT I’VE BEEN WATCHING
Here’s what I was watching in July.
1- THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER
Ok so there aren’t enough words to tell you how much I loved the new Thor film. It was hilarious! Christian Bale was also amazing in it FYI.
2- SONS OF ANARCHY
Eeee I am SO SO HAPPY to have Charlie Hunnam and Tommy Flanagan on my screen again. SOA is one of my favourite tv shows and I’ve FINALLY convinced Adam to watch it. I think my favourite part of it all is actually seeing Adam’s reactions to things happening! Unreal show.
3- WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING
I’ve not read the book so didn’t know what to expect when I went along to see this. Oh my goodness…WHAT a story and WHAT a film! I’ve actually been to the cinema twice to see it and plan on reading the book now as well.

So that was my July – hope you had a good one too. Catch you again soon! x
